Afrikhaya (African home) Guest House is situated within the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, formerly known as the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park, In the picturesque village of St Lucia Estuary in the north eastern corner of South Africa. The guest house is a small accommodation establishment and is situated in a very quiet part of St Lucia. Our guest house accommodation and B&B rates are really affordable, allowing an extended stay in St Lucia at a good price.

The guest house is partially thatched, adding the the stylish African atmosphere. The rooms are air conditioned and the guest house has a crystal clear swimming pool to keep you cool on hot St Lucia days, or simply to lie around and enjoy tropical fruit cocktails.
Activities
The St.Lucia Estuary is one of the tourism focal points of the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park, since November 2007 renamed in iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The Park was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, as Africa's first. The Park comprises a number of conservation areas, the oldest of which is the St Lucia Game Reserve, established in 1895. Situated in the north-eastern part of the KwaZulu-Natal Province called the Elephant Coast.

Must see
At the end of November we had a three day stay at Afrikhaya. Tammy gave us a warm welcome and showed us all the possibilities for tours, places to eat and creatures to be aware of. Wonderful place to stay and explore the area
We were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the stay in the guesthouse for a few days. What a wonderful and fully equipped guesthouse to relax and take trips to see wildlife. Roos and Jolanda know the area and are very helpful in arranging trips. Thanks for the hospitality.

Had a wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay! We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The room was beautifully decorated and provided with all the comforts. A big plus was that our laundry was ready the same day. The staff and the hostess were very helpful and told us a lot about St. Lucia and what we could do there. Highly recommended.

Amazing guest house
Beautiful, very spacious and luxurious room with a lovely bed, very good rain shower. The fantastic breakfast is freshly prepared and served with a big smile. We really enjoyed our stay. The laundry service was also great. In short, a great recommendation to stay.
